With the Royal Wedding taking place tomorrow, I thought I just had to show you something British this week. Have you spotted it on the photo?
Since the photos were taken in The Netherlands, it’s not the lovely country house, although this house reminds me a lot of series like Downton Abbey and Pride & Prejudice. It’s also clearly not the colour scheme of my outfit (if you want to see a British colour scheme, click here for shades of red from London or here for some British red, white and blue). It’s really only a small detail in my outfit…
The T-shirt that I am wearing shows the Union Jack!
T-shirts can be casual or classy; it really depends on how you style them. As soon I saw this T-shirt I just had to buy it. As an English teacher I love the print of course, but the original colour scheme of the flag did it for me.
I am a huge fan of black clothes, since they are so easy to style with many other colours. The black on black combination (T-shirt, trousers and shoes) makes me look taller than I am. The cropped jeans jacket helps creating an illusion of length as well, plus it adds something extra to the otherwise rather black outfit. A great holiday outfit, perfect for petites and one that is apt for the classroom too.
What do you think of this combination?
PS: I have written an article linked to the Royal Wedding about values and setting goals. It’s on my Petite Teacher facebook when you’re interested in reading that as well!
