I assume most of you have seen the film The Sound of Music at least once. Do you remember the scene in which Julie Andrews takes down the curtains to sew some clothes for the Von Trapp kids? This dress just reminds me of that scene, flowery as it is.
It is a perfect summer dress thanks to the material and pattern and a great one to wear to school. It is very loose. That has got a few advantages:
- It is easy to cycle in.
- The dress is very comfortable to move around in, which is great for a teacher, since that is what we do a lot in class.
- On top of that I consider the dress very belly friendly, which is another kind of comfortable, isn’t it?
I always combine the dress with a pair of low heal shoes, like these green ballerinas when wearing it to school.
For the somewhat cooler moments, like early in the morning when getting on my bike, I can choose between my cropped jeans jacket for a more sporty look or my short, white cardigan for a more classy look. Short jackets and cardigans are fantastic for petites since they make you look taller.
Dress: Yes or No, Shoes: Unisa, Bag: Maddison, Jeans Jacket: Yes or No, Cardigan: Esprit (all previous seasons)
Have you got any flowery dresses that you wear to work?
An Edelweiss photo really completes this Sound of Music Style blogpost, don’t you agree?
